AAA Taiwan team spotted at NTNU Sustainability Festival

On 8 March 2024, Animal Alliance Asia Taiwan team showed up at NTNU (National Taiwan Normal University) Sustainability Festival. This is the first outreach after we officially showed our presence on social media. We were thrilled to finally meet our followers face-to-face!

We were hoping to introduce our work to the local public, and also to promote the upcoming programs—— ReRoot Asia Fund 2024 and University Plant-based Initiative Incubation Program.

"We prepared stickers for those who stopped by at our stall. And badges for anyone who shares pictures/videos of us on their Instagram stories.” said Roxie, our Taiwan Coordinator. “It's such a pleasure being able to reach out to so many different people! It's always fun meeting new faces and those who care about similar social issues.”

We started from 11:00 to 16:00. It boosted the number of our social media followers from 170 to 220. The 50 new followers are mostly university students.

To everyone's surprise, a follower of AAA Taiwan's page came to visit us. They shared that they've already prepared a proposal to apply for this year's ReRoot Asia Fund! They stayed around, sharing their ideas on the project and we had a great time exchanging stories on how we became vegans. We were very touched to see such a passionate applicant and we can't wait to receive their application!

“It was an honour to be a part of the team, encouraging and supporting people to start their own initiatives” said Jenny, one of our team members. “I look forward to seeing more and more Taiwanese advocates taking action!”
