Persuasive communication strategies for changing hearts, minds and behaviours
24 July 2025 | 19:00 GMT+7 | Zoom
What is a narrative change? What can we learn from other social movements?
In our first webinar of AACA mini, Natalie Braine from Animal Think Tank will guide us through different communication strategies that are most persuasive for different audiences – and which cause reactance. You'll leave with a clear framework for how to apply these tried-and-tested approaches in your own messaging.
Participants will also have an opportunity to discuss how these strategies might work in their context and why. Please share this widely, bring your co-workers and co-organizers, and let’s develop frameworks for persuasive communication!
About the speaker:
Natalie is the Narrative Strategist at Animal Think Tank. She's involved in public opinion research and message-testing to better understand which communication approaches are most persuasive. She also analyses other movements and campaigns to inform narrative strategies for animal freedom.
Animal Advocacy Conference Asia (AACA)
is a virtual platform for animal justice advocates across Asia to learn new skills, exchange ideas, and grow the movement together.
We aim to make AACA to be a space to highlight efforts of local animal advocates and encourage solution-centric strategies to be developed through knowledge sharing and collaborations.
This year, we're back with a mini version. Instead of multi-day webinars, we're rolling out individual sessions where you can follow along and register for the topics that catch your attention!

We will be using English as a default language throughout the conference this year. Although we want to make our space as inclusive as possible, we are not able to cover the cost of translation service this year. If you would like to support our effort to make the conference more accessible and inclusive, please consider donating!
