In Pakistan, we made remarkable progress in public engagement through a series of pioneering initiatives aimed at raising awareness about plant-based diets and veganism. We launched Pakistan’s first-ever VegFest, an open-to-the-public event that attracted over 200 attendees and served 260 two-course plant-based meals, creating a welcoming space to explore veganism. Additionally, we hosted film screenings on veganism in two major cities, an open-to-public potluck that further broadened the public understanding of plant-based living.
We also broke new ground by organizing Pakistan’s first plant-based food justice discussion. Our efforts extended to 2 major public university outreach events, with over 124 signing pledges to shift towards a plant-based diet, marking a significant step toward dietary change among younger generations.
These initiatives have laid a strong foundation for public engagement, fostering meaningful dialogue and sparking interest in plant-based solutions across diverse communities in Pakistan
In 2025, we worked with 4 educational campuses in Pakistan, educating hundreds of students on the links of food and its impact on the planet, animals, and their health from a food justice perspective.
Over 80 students took the pledge to reduce their consumption of animal products by 30%.
Over 160 people were engaged in various educational seminars.
We worked alongside trained vets and dietitians to provide concrete and professional information that is culturally relevant.
